PROTECT the environment and the public from the harmful effects of pharmaceutical pollution

Utilizing customized educational materials, community outreach, coalitions, corporate partnerships, all channels of media, and interprofessional collaboration we are working to decrease easy access to over the counter and prescription medications kept in the home and promote proper disposal of unneeded medications. Working together, we will positively impact the lives of families everywhere.

Meet Our Board of Directors

Monica F. Anderson, D.D.S., D.B,A. is the Founder and President of Drop the Drugs, Inc. and a Doctor of Dental Surgery. She has a long history as a community activist, multi-published author, and motivational speaker. She earned a B.A. in biology from Baylor University and her doctorate degree from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry. She has been a licensed dentist over three decades. She has served on major nonprofit boards in Minnesota and Texas, receiving numerous commendations for her service and leadership. She currently works as a Dental Consultant for a national benefits administration company.

Carol Landrum, R. N. is a nurse and independent Board Director. She serves as Vice-President and Treasurer of Drop the Drugs. She grew up in St. Andrew, Jamaica. She majored in Public Health and became one of the first female Public Health Inspectors on the island. Carol Landrum moved to the DFW area over thirty years ago and pursued a career in nursing. She obtained her Bachelor’s in Nursing from the University of Texas-Arlington and has been an R.N. for over twenty years.  Presently, she works for an acute-care, full-service medical center in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. Carol has traveled all over the world and she is a published author. Her first book, “Nine Days in Italy: The Highs and Lows of Driving Through Italia”, was co-authored with her husband, Warren. She is an ardent community activist who enjoys helping others.

Jeanine Thomas, D.O. specializes in Internal Medicine, sports medicine and wellness programs. She is an independent Board Director serving as Secretary of Drop the Drugs. Dr. Thomas is the owner and Medical Director of Preventive Care Medical Clinic in Arlington, Texas and has hospital affiliations in the DFW area. She received her medical degree from Oklahoma State University College of Medicine and has been in practice for more than 20 years. She also has a Master’s of Human Services Degree in Counseling Studies. She is very involved with her local community and currently serves as the President of the North Texas Business & Professional Women’s League. Good Housekeeping Magazine has previously recognized her as “100 Women of Promise.”
